Racor CCV Crankcase Ventilation

racor-parker-filters-fitration-systems-western-filters.jpg
CCV systems close the crankcase breather system. Blow-by gases are sent through the CCV, which separates the oil from air. The oil is drained back into the crankcase, and the clean air is sent to the engine air intake. Racor CCV systems operate by coalescing oil mist from crankcase gases. Filtered air from the CCV assembly is returned to the air intake system between the air filter and the turbocharger. Coalesced oil drains to the oil pan via a hose connection. The pressure regulating valve protects the engine from excessive crankcase vacuum. When the element has reached its useful life, the indicator will alert the user that the element needs to be changed. The element is designed to operate efficiently and to be serviced every other oil change unless the indicator shows a requirement for service.
